History of the Association

The "Association des Lepage d' Amérique inc." was founded November 25 1995 and its incorporation was formalized the December 7 1995, as part of the preparations for the 300e anniversary of the arrival of René Lepage in Rimouski in 1696.

Indeed, it was at the request of the City of Rimouski, on the occasion of the tercentenary of Rimouski, that family-run families organized family gatherings throughout the summer 1996. Since the Lepage family is a founding family of Rimouski, an organizing committee has been formed to hold such an activity. Thus the 5 March 1996 was held the founding general meeting of the "Association des Lepage d'Amerique inc."
